I signed up for ipsy (one of the 400 billion beauty sampling services out there) a few months ago, mostly because of Laura's high praise of it. I've been sort of meh about my bags so far, and this month was no exception.
Here's the loot:
(Clockwise from top right: Nailtini nail polish in Mai Tai, Michael Todd jojoba charcoal scrub, Pixi lash booster mascara in blackest black, Pacifica Alight BB cream, and Noya vanilla lip balm.)
And it all came in a purple (at least they got that right!) make up bag:
You're probably wondering why I've told you all this, seeing as how I don't normally review these sorts of things. Well, imagine my surprise when I came home today to find not one, but two packages from ipsy today. There's nothing in my bag that I HAVE to have doubles of, so I thought I'd pass my good fortune along to one of you. If you'd like to check out an ipsy bag without making the $10 a month commitment, leave a comment and I'll send one lucky lady the same goodies I got.
The rules: one comment per person; giveaway closes Sunday, August 25 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern; I'll choose a winner at random; and this is not in anyway known about, sponsored, or condoned by ipsy.
Just in case you're wondering, I think ipsy gets one more month to impress me before I cancel. The value (according to Laura) of these bags is always pretty good, but I just haven't been overly excited about the products they've chosen to send me. This month, for example, they sent out Smashbox Photo Finish primer and Urban Decay lipstick. I got cheap lip balm and ugly nail polish. Maybe I should retake their beauty quiz and see what happens. If my glowing review makes you want to sign up for the ipsy service, here's my referral link.
