It's been a busy week in these parts. My BFF came up from NC to visit, we had W's second birthday party, and (wait for it) I got my tattoo! Here are a few highlights from the week:

A picture of the ink. I love it.

(Sorry for the gross foot...I need a pedi in the worst way).
When I went to visit my friend last year, we discovered that we both wanted to get tats and would have done it then if I hadn't been pregnant. Since that wasn't an option, I suggested we do it while she was here. We got them on the same place on the same foot, but got completely different tattoos (as she told her brother when he asked if we got matching tattoos, "We're friends, not lesbians").
Other than having to wait FOREVER for Pierre, our tattoo artist who is just a wee bit on the whack-job side, my friend and I had fun getting them. I was surprised that it didn't hurt much at all. B and my mom both about shit themselves when they saw it. But it makes me happy. I would totally get more, but B hates tattoos, so I told him I'd stop at one.

A quick sneak peek of W's birthday party: the cake! The theme was PJs and Pancakes, so I crafted this hideous interesting cake that looks like a stack of pancakes. It looked better in person (I'm hoping someone got a better shot of it than I did).

I'll do a full birthday party post some other time. Promise.

We ended up in the ER with W again last night. Breathing issues again. Luckily it was a short trip this time - we got in right away, got a breathing treatment with the good steroids, and got out. Other than being hopped up on albuterol when we got home, W did ok. He's still having some trouble today, so a trip to the pediatrician is on the books for tomorrow. I'm hoping I can get a referral to a specialist or a script for the good steroids or something tomorrow so we don't end up back in the ER again any time soon (at least not for breathing problems).

This is quite possibly my new favorite picture of R.

Cracks me up.

That's all I've got for tonight...off to give W another breathing treatment before I pass out from exhaustion.
